Double Your Impact on Retired Racehorse Aftercare

Thanks to Churchill Downs Incorporated the first $20,000 raised this Giving Tuesday will be doubled. Help us reach our goal of $40,000 this Giving Tuesday to support New Vocations' Thoroughbred and Standardbred aftercare efforts. New Vocations has found loving adoptive homes for more than 8,500 retired racehorses since 1992. We continue to expand as the need for our services grows, having already served 20% more horses in 2023 than in 2022. 

Your gift this Giving Tuesday helps us to continue to work with owners and trainers in need of Thoroughbred and Standardbred aftercare options. Our sound adoption process helps us find perfect homes for these most-deserving equine athletes. 

New Vocations Giving Tuesday Challenge:

This year, the joy of giving is leveled-up with an extra ounce of fun! Take part in one (or more) of the following Giving Tuesday challenges below for your chance to win exciting prizes! *

• Early Giving Challenge: The first 20 people to donate before November 28th will be entered for a chance to win a New Vocations Sweatshirt. Of the first 20 donors before Nov. 28th, 1 name will be randomly selected as the winner.
• Hometown Support: Anyone who lives within 1 hour of Lexington, KY (home to New Vocations' main office) who donates between the hours of 8:00 am - 9:00 am EST on Nov. 28 will be entered to win a 1 hour photography session by L'Arte Photography. Of Lexington area donors who donate during this hour, 1 name will be randomly selected as the winner. This photography session has a $450 value and includes 20 edited images for download. You must include your address to be entered into this drawing. **More details below**
• New Vocations Adopter Hour: New Vocations adopters who donate between 10:00 am - 11:00 am EST on Nov. 28th will be entered for a chance to win a New Vocations saddle pad. To be entered into the drawing, please put "NV Grad: [insert your adopted horse's registered name]" in the comments section of your donation so we can verify your adoption. Of the adopters who donate during this hour, 1 name will be randomly selected as the winner.
• New Donor Appreciation: If this is your first time making a monetary donation to New Vocations between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST on Nov. 28th, you'll be entered for a chance to win a Private Tour of New Vocations' Lexington, KY facility for up to 6 people! Please include your first and last name in your donation to be entered into this drawing. Of the first-time donors who make a donation during this hour, 1 name will be randomly selected as the winner.
• Giving Tuesday Power Hour: Anyone who donates during the power hour of 3:00 - 4:00 pm EST on Nov. 28th will be entered for a chance to win a New Vocations T-Shirt! Of those who donate during this hour, 5 names will be randomly selected as the winners!
• $30 For Over 30 Years: Anyone who donates $30 or more between 6:00 - 7:00 pm EST on Nov. 28th in honor of New Vocations' over 30 years of service will be entered for a chance to win a pair of New Vocations Wine Tumblers. Of those who donate $30 or more during this hour, 1 name will be randomly selected as the winner. Cheers!
